How long does the White Card course take?

The course usually takes between 4-6 hours. At Tradie Training, we prioritise learning outcomes above anything else and run small, focused classes. As a result, the course normally takes closer to 4h.

How much does the course cost in Brisbane?

Can I get my lost White Card replaced?

Yes, we can issue a replacement card should you have lost your original White Card. We currently charge $19 for replacement White Cards.

What is a White Card?

A White Card is a license that is required to enter on construction sites in Australia. The license is issued by registered training organisations (RTOs) on behalf of WorkSafe Queensland.
WorkSafe QLD handles WorkCover, the Government agency in charge of worker's compensations in case of work-related injuries. The compensation covers medical bills as well as wages. In order to provide these services, they require workers to complete safety induction training prior to entering construction sites. This safety induction training is known as the White Card course (formerly known as the construction Blue Card).

What will I learn?

The course will teach you how to spot dangers and keep yourself safe by utilising multiple safety methods. You will learn how to apply control measures, how to properly follow risk management processes, when and how to personal protective equipment (PPE) etc. You'll also learn how to respond in emergency situations such as injuries or fires etc.

You will also learn about signage and tags used on construction sites. There are very specific and important rules around tags, and you can be on the hook for serious trouble if handling them improperly.
